Sana Panghal

Sana, the founder of Evadere Studios, is an emerging film-maker based in Naarm. Her vision is to cater to diverse storytelling and cinema in Australia. In addition, her vision extends to creating a safe and inclusive space for all creatives involved in the various phases of production.

Sana migrated here in 2013 and brings to life content that resonates deeply with diverse folks. She’s skilled in script writing, story telling and producing. Her current projects are Wrong Time Wrong Place a music video, Twin Flame a short film, Everyday Heroes a documentary style video for Study Melbourne, and Outsiders a web series.

Her directorial debut ‘Irkha’ won an international award for Best First Time Filmmaker at Cannes Shorts Film Festival 2022.

She works in the professional services industry & has previously advocated for people of colour through the POC Collective at Monash Student Association and alongside a team helped coordinate a major South Asian film festival.
